Kylie Jenner was not kidding when she said this was going to be the year of ‘realising stuff’.
I have realised a lot of freakin stuff this month so to start this story off lightheartedly, please find below something I embedded very skillfully from Youtube.
Let’s start with the beauty shall we?
I have been trying all sorts of new things this month! I am partial to a good nail colour and have been trying so many new colours, I chat about the best ones to wear to the races here.
I have been trying SO many shower gels/cleansers to revive my tired old winter skin, you can checkout which I determined are the best here.
Garnier brought out a really awesome new range that mixed oil with water to combine the best makeup remover ever. Coming up with both a new micellar cleansing water and micellar cleansing wipes plus my personal favourite the 3 in 1 charcoal anti-blackhead wash, scrub AND mask. You are very much set with this new line.
I also tried one of those teeth whitening sets this month! The one I tried was called Advanced Whitening Kit Look I’m not gonna lie, it was bizarre. I learned that you need to basically lie down while you let the serum sit on your teeth. I’ve only tried it twice and the instructions mention that for best results you need to have two applications a day for five days. At the very reasonable price of only $79, It’d be a really awesome Christmas present for someone who you can’t think of anything to buy for them or they have everything already.
Now I have a topic less fun to discuss. I was recently watching a video on YouTube that Crystal Conte had made and she says that she has struggled a lot through this year. It made me realise that I needed to stop pushing aside the struggles that I have faced this year with my personal life and with my blog. I have made the decision to go on long service leave from We’re With Her. After almost four years of consistently posting (bar a few months this year), I am going to take two months off and allow myself time to feel re-inspired, get back in touch with my creativity and to give myself time to heal from the downs of my year. It has taken a lot for me to come to this decision as I never want to disappoint, but after speaking with several people and thinking about it for a few months I have decided that I am in desperate need of some time off.
I will be turning completely off. I won’t be checking the blog, my Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, Bloglovin or Pinterest accounts at all in the hopes that I rejuvenate completely.
I just want to say thank you so much to everyone who has journeyed with me up until today and I hope that you stick with me until my return.
I want to wish each and every one of you a very Merry Christmas and a prosperous and purposeful 2017, I can’t wait to see what the New Year holds for us all.
Until Feb 2017,
